Drake teases Iceman album at Toronto Raptors game
Drake is making sure everyone knows his new album is on the way.
The rollout for Drake’s next studio album got an NBA twist when the rapper “iced out” some courtside seats at a recent Toronto Raptors game. The rapper’s frozen courtside seats were seen on the Raptors’ Sunday, April 12, game against the Brooklyn Nets, where they won 136-101.

In addition to the courtside nod to the album, which has yet to have a confirmed release date, he’s released cryptic messages on social media. Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel, Toronto Southside rapper TVGUCCI, and OVO artist SURFBOARDWAVE changed their profile photos to the same diamond to promote the album.
Most recently, he shared that the album was coming soon when his close friend and singer Nelly Furtado was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during the 2026 Junos. He appeared on the broadcast remotely and teased the project towards the end of his speech.
“To the Junos, because you are honoring one of my dearest friends tonight, I will spare you,” Drake said in a video message. “Even though I know you’re still thinking about those six awards that you gave to Shad in 2011 when you snubbed Take Care as I hosted the 40th anniversary of your award show. But listen, that’s neither here nor there. Tonight, we’ll let it go. This is about Nelly. … Enjoy your Hall of Fame status. It’s long overdue. Kill the performance. We love you, dawg. Iceman coming soon.”

The last time Drake released a solo album was 2023’s For All the Dogs. Last year, he released a joint album Some Sexy $ongs 4 U in 2025. This will be his first solo project since the iconic 2024 beef with Kendrick Lamar.
