Dodgers’ Miguel Rojas drops brutally honest admission about Clayton Kershaw’s 2014 no-hitter
It was just under a year ago that Miguel Rojas saved the Los Angeles Dodgers from losing Game 7 and became a hero in Chavez Ravine. On a podcast, he recalled the 2014 Clayton Kershaw no-hitter and was brutally honest about how he felt, according to B/R Walf-Off.

Rojas recalled being nervous through the ordeal, especially on one play. There was a ball struck directly to him, but he had to make a nice play while also firing a good throw to first base to preserve the no-hitter. Kershaw induced a lot of ground balls. Ultimately, that put pressure on the infielders. But Rojas handled that play with stride.
Kershaw is a Dodgers legend, having spent his entire 18-year career with them. Significantly, the no-hitter in 2014 was the only one he ever threw. That is why it was so meaningful for Rojas to preserve it. Although Kershaw allowed a baserunner on an error, he did not allow a hit.
Rojas has been in the major leagues since 2014. First, the Dodgers originally signed him as an international free agent in 2004. Rojas spent the 2014 season with the Dodgers. Then, he spent the next eight seasons with the Miami Marlins before returning to Los Angeles in 2024. Although Rojas has struggled with errors this season, he was perfect on that day in 2014.
Kershaw retired last season after 18 seasons, leaving behind a Dodgers legacy that is hard to match. He finished as a three-time NL Cy Young winner, a 2014 NL MVP, an 11-time All-Star, one Triple Crown winner, and a three-time World Series winner.
