Dodgers’ Edwin Diaz lands on IL with elbow issue
After the 9-6 ugly loss by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Colorado Rockies, the team announced that a key player in their pitching staff is going on the injured list (IL). With the shaky start to the series for the Dodgers against the Rockies, the news keeps getting dire as Edwin Diaz heads to the IL with an elbow injury.
“The Dodgers place closer Edwin Diaz on the IL with loose bodies in his elbow and bring up Jake Eder. Diaz, who has a 10.50 ERA, had pitched only once in the past nine days and was rocked Sunday, failing to retire any of the 4 batters he faced,” Bob Nightengale wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
More information to come.
