Crystal Palace vs Wolves predictions

Both clubs come into this match after midweek draws in their respective competitions.

Home side Crystal Palace, travelled to Bosnia and secured a 1-1 result in their Europa League knockout playoff first leg fixture. Despite going 1-0 up, the club will be feeling confident they can finish the job off in south London next Thursday.

Wolves look as good as relegated, but they salvaged a dramatic last-gasp equaliser against top-of-the-table Arsenal. 19-year-old Tom Edozie forced the 94th minute own goal that did more damage to dent the Gunners title hopes.

The Old Gold will be buoyant as they head to Selhurst Park that they can upset the odds once more. Teenager Matheus Mane has been a constant threat in attack. While both defenders Santiago Bueno and Hugo Bueno have been amongst the goals in recent weeks.

But Palace know a victory here could put them 11 points clear of the bottom three if results go their way this weekend.

Crystal Palace vs Wolves betting tips

Both teams have scored in six of Palace’s last seven matches, showcasing their ability in attack, but their vulnerability in defence. Especially since captain Marc Guehi’s move to Manchester City in January.

The return of flying full-back Daniel Munoz has been a huge boost. A FPL players dream last season, the Colombian’s attacking thrust on the right could be crucial again here.

Talking of goals, Wolves’ two goal haul against Arsenal, was the first time they’ve scored two or more in the league, since dispatching West Ham 3-0.

Have they now discovered a new route to goal?

However, Wolves have conceded first in five out of their last seven fixtures. Jorgen Strand-Larsen has netted two goals and claimed an assist in his first three Crystal Palace matches, since joining from Wolves in January.

Strand-Larsen is now 7/2 (with Midnite) to be first goalscorer against his former club. But the value may lie if you back Adam Wharton to keep on shooting.

The England man has had 21 shots in the Premier League this season, hitting the woodwork once, with four of these on target.

You can see he increasingly backs himself from situations around the edge of the 18-yard-box. It could be profitable to combine into a bet builder.

The reverse fixture ended 2-0 to Palace, but it may not be as straight-forward this time out.

  • Jorgen Strand-Larsen to score anytime, Yerson Mosquera to be booked and Adam Wharton over 0.5 shots on target outside the box – 25/1 with bet365
  • Ismaila Sarr – first goalscorer – 6/1 on Tote
