Collin Morikawa wins first Signature Event of 2026 in AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
There will not be an 848th day!
Collin Morikawa had not won an event in quite some time, but that changed on Sunday when he out-lasted an incredible field at the first signature event of the season in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Morikawa, a friend of SB Nation by the way, finished his Pebble Beach experience with a tournament-clinching birdie on the iconic 18th hole. 22-under was the winning score, one where Collin edged out Min Woo Lee by a single stroke. He knew he had to make birdie on 18 and pulled it off. Good for him.
The day, like most on the PGA Tour, was not without a charge from Scottie Scheffler as the world number one carded 3 eagles (a first in his Tour career) on Sunday to finish at 20-under. But Sunday belonged to Collin Morikawa.
Actually… Sunday belonged to Collin, his wife, and their soon-to-be blessing. Collin announced in his post-round interview that he and his wife are expecting!
It was a proper first Signature Event of the season for the PGA Tour where all the stars showed up, Scottie Scheffler dazzled, and a deserving champion was crowned who happened to share amazing news in the process.
