College GameDay announces $180million Michigan legend as guest picker as fans all make same brutal joke

Aidan Hutchinson returns to Michigan on Saturday as College GameDay’s latest guest picker.

ESPN made the announcement on Friday — just a day after the Detroit LionsThanksgiving loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Wolverines icon Hutchinson had three tackles and zero sacks as Packers QB Jordan Love led a 31-24 victory.

There are still piles of holiday leftovers to get through, but it is never too early on social media and Cheeseheads were not feeling charitable on Black Friday.

“Aidan vanished yesterday—guess he was too busy thinking about this,” wrote one on X.

“So he finally showed up? Because he didnt yesterday,” added another.

“Oh so that’s why he didn’t play yesterday,” a third posted.”

“Dude switching careers after yesterday,” noted a fourth.

No. 15 Michigan is taking on No. 1 Ohio State on Saturday in a massive contest.

Wolverines fans would love to have All American talent Hutchinson back.

The edge-rusher was a runner-up for the Heisman Trophy in 2021 after setting the school’s single-season sack record with 14.

Hutchinson declared for the 2022 NFL Draft and went to the Lions second overall.

Since then, the 25-year-old from Plymouth, Michigan, has dominated as a pro, with 37 sacks in just under four seasons.

How much does Aidan Hutchinson make?

His form was rewarded with a bumper $180million extension in October as Detroit moved to tie down its key pieces after emerging as a Super Bowl contender.

His terms include $141 million in total guarantees and, at $45 million per season, he tops all non-quarterbacks.

“There’s a lot of factors that went into it, but ultimately, I know I wanted to be in Detroit and that was the goal,” Hutchinson told ESPN.

“Obviously, as a player, you have a responsibility when you’re in the echelon of players that I’m in to continue to push the market up, but was it at the expense of continuing to draw this process out and try to get an extra $1 [million] or $2 [million] or get above Micah [Parsons] or whatever it was.

“To me, it was important that we got it done and I was here. That was kind of the priority.”

Thursday’s defeat saw the Lions fall to 7-5 — only good enough for third in a competitive NFC North.

The Chicago Bears and Packers are both 8-3 with everything to play for.

Up next is the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football.

But Hutchinson’s mind will be a little closer to home as he heads back to the place where he forged his fearsome reputation.
