Cole Palmer gives five reasons behind trait he shares with Michael Owen
Cole Palmer and Michael Owen have more in common than you might imagine.
When you think of the similarities between the two, you naturally think of footballer.

Both exploded onto the scene as youngsters, possess ice-cold composure in front of goal, and have represented their country.
However, the Chelsea star and the 2001 Ballon D’or winner share a unique non-sporting trait that has nothing to do with hitting the back of the net.
They both absolutely despise watching films.
Palmer’s manifesto
While fans originally thought Owen’s cinematic boycott was a one-off quirk for, the Chelsea star has proved the anti-movie baton has been passed down to the next generation.
The 24-year-old was speaking about his lifestyle off the pitch in a recent interview and listed a definitive five-point manifesto on why he despises the cinema.
“I don’t watch films and I hate the cinema. I’ve got reasons. One, the TV is too big.
“Two, the TV is too loud. Three, the snacks are so expensive.
“Four, there’s just loads of other people there. And five, you have to be quiet. So, they’re my five reasons why cinemas are rubbish!

Similarly, back in 2014, Owen took to social media to reveal he had only watched eight films in his entire life.
After being forced to watch Rocky on a flight back from China, the former Premier League player admitted that the big screen just isn’t for him.

He posted: “Watched my eighth ever film on the flight home. Must have been bored. #HateFilms”
Owen followed it up by revealing the movies he’s watched during his life.
He added: “Films I’ve been forced to watch: Rocky, Heat, Ghost, Jurassic Park, Cool Runnings, Seabiscuit, Karate Kid, Forest Gump.”
Instead, he prefers the racecourse, dedicating most of his downtime at his racing stables in Cheshire.
At the time, his revelation sparked a funny trend called #owenfilms, where football fans flooded the internet with movie title puns based on Owen’s career, though they focused heavily on his notorious history with injuries.
In a world where most people can’t live without Netflix, the footballing duo seem entirely focused on reality rather than fiction.
So, if you’re ever looking to spot England’s playmaker during his downtime, don’t bother checking the cinema. He’ll be anywhere else, leaving the drama entirely for the pitch.
