Clay Matthews’ response to very obviously fake transformation images shows he’s in on it

Contrary to how it may appear, Clay Matthews is not searching for the Infinity Stones, nor is he leading an angry mob to hunt the Beast. TMZ, as part of a paid partnership, posted an image of the Green Bay Packers great sporting a huge chin and muscular physique while going grocery shopping. The photo is obviously AI-generated, but that is not stopping Matthews from having some fun.

The retired outside linebacker and Super Bowl 45 champion is doing his part to keep the bit alive. “Gigaclay,” he posted on X.

Matthews surely wants to look his best for his new role as an NFL Netflix studio analyst, but a man has his limits, or at least he should. Although the exact purpose of this manipulated photo remains to be seen, it does allow fans to revisit No. 52’s impressive NFL accomplishments.

Selected late in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft, Matthews earned First-Team All-Pro honors in the Packers’ championship-winning 2010-11 campaign and collected six Pro Bowl invitations during his 10-year run with the franchise. He played his final season with the Los Angeles Rams and finished his career with 91.5 sacks, 519 combined tackles, 130 tackles for loss, 17 forced fumbles and six interceptions.

The man was already a menace on the gridiron, but imagine the devastation he could have unleashed if he was souped-up like TMZ depicted. Clay Matthews will now look to conquer a new phase of his life, as he gets ready for Thursday’s Melbourne battle between the Rams and San Francisco 49ers.
