Cheltenham Festival 2026 Ante-post movers
Lulamba big Arkle mover
The Nicky Henderson-trained star justified 4/11 odds on Saturday in the Game Spirit Chase at Newbury on Saturday.
Going clear of Saint Segal, Libberty Hunter and Calico in great fashion but did have a few punters grimacing when he needed to be pushed along down the straight and still looked a little novicey, until he eventually knuckled down.
All the more impressive is that this horse is still just five-years-old and ran this well against some established chasers on heavy ground, which suggests he’s a great price.
The Nirvana Du Berlais gelding was shortened into 5/4 after winning but then drifted back out to 6/4 when it was revealed the gelding had suffered a cut in his leg.
However, it shouldn’t hamper his chances of running at the festival and Lulamba backers could potentially revel in keeping the faith in the young chaser.
Romeo Coolio out of the Arkle?
Despite beating Kargese in the Dublin Racing Festival Irish Arkle at 4/9 this horse has drifted in the Arkle ante-post for Cheltenham Festival.
The Gordon Elliott-trained horse has lengthened to 6’s potentially being pushed out more from 4/1 as the talented horse is looking to be stepped up to over 3m in the Brown Advisory which should suit based on the pedigree.
But without a run over 3m before some punters may well be put off the punt for the lack of experience.
Haiti Couleurs eyes Gold Cup
Rebecca Curtis was a relieved trainer to get a tough race out of the way ahead of Cheltenham at the weekend.
The trainer oversaw Sean Bowen put a class ride on the big favourite at Newbury in the Grade 2 Denman Chase having also won the Welsh National in December.
He’s now won three in his last four runs this season and six of eight chases in better and better fashion.
The nine-year-old has subsequently been shortened for the Gold Cup into 8/1 from 10/1, while also being a big shot for the Grand National at Aintree in April.
Dinoblue
Dinoblue owned by JP McManus and trained by Willie Mullins has earned close to £450,000 so far.
The nine-year-old has proven she’s a tough mare to beat even more so this year in this sphere winning well and justifying her heavy odds-on prices in her last two.
Amongst mares she’s got to be the top choice now 6/4.
More market movers
Meanwhile, Sober Glory is a huge mover in the Cheltenham 2026 Ante-Post odds going into 16’s from as big as 33’s for the Supreme Novices Hurdle, the traditional curtain raiser of the festival.
Talk The Talk is also a big contender for the Supreme on the Tuesday opener at 4/1, but has also been entered into the Turners going into 8/1 amid rumours of changing hands to the legendary owner JP McManus.
Doctor Steinberg has gone into 5/2 favourite for the Albert Bartlett having been double the price just last week/
The Willie Mullins-trained six-year-old landed the Grade 1 Novice Hurdle in the Dublin Racing Festival at the start of February going unbeaten in his first three hurdles contests.
Tutti Quanti has gone into the Champion Hurdle after Paul Nicholls revealed he could be supplemented.
The top Grade 1 race at Cheltenham had been dominated by Constitution Hill, but in recent years has thrown out surprise winners and gone wide open, which could be for the taking with the right horse.
And Tuttu Quanti bolted up at Newbury on Saturday in Grade 3 company in the William Hill Hurdle at 100/30, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if he can continue progressing.
