Chelsea should have sacked Liam Rosenior at half-time if they had any standards
Chelsea’s record-breaking Champions League exit should mark the end of Liam Rosenior’s time as manager.
That is the according to talkSPORT’s Rory Jennings after a crushing 8-2 aggregate defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Blues already trailed the defending champions by three goals following last week’s first leg in France.
However, they made a nightmare start at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s goal after five minutes and 14 seconds is the fastest Chelsea have ever conceded at home in the Champions League knockout stages.
Bradley Barcola added a second just eight minutes later to add to Rosenior’s growing woes.
As a result, the home side found themselves trailing PSG 5-2 on aggregate with over an hour remaining in the tie.
The manner of their impending exit proved too much for Jennings as he called for the club to part ways with Rosenior.
Taking to social media, he wrote on X: “If we were still a club with standards, this joke of a manager would be sacked at half-time.”
Bad to worse
Jennings had already slammed the Chelsea boss as recently as Sunday for his ‘total idiocy’ after their defeat to Newcastle United.
His stance was seemingly echoed inside the stadium as frustrations amongst supporters grew.
Boos and anti-Clearlake Capital chants could be heard inside Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, hundreds of fans were seen leaving the stadium at half-time.
PSG added insult to injury during the second half as Senny Mayulu added a third to seal an 8-2 aggregate victory.
The scoreline represents the first time in their history that Chelsea have conceded eight goals in a two-legged tie both domestically and in Europe.
It also equals the club’s heaviest aggregate European defeat, a 7-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last 16 in 2020.
PSG will now face either Galatasaray or Liverpool in the quarter-finals next month.
What next?
As for Chelsea, Rosenior’s successor has already been chosen according to fan Matisse Armani.

The broadcaster admitted on the latest episode of talkSPORT’s Inside Chelsea that the club would likely appoint Gary O’Neil if they sack Rosenior.
Discussing his likely successor, Armani said: “It would probably be Gary O’Neil at Strasbourg.”
O’Neil replaced Rosenior at the French club, who are also owned by BlueCo, following his switch to Chelsea in January.
Since signing a six-year deal with the Blues, the 41-year-old has won 10 of his 18 matches in charge.
However, their run of three successive defeats means he has now lost six times since being taking over from Enzo Maresca.
Chelsea currently sit sixth in the Premier League and three points adrift of the top four ahead of Saturday’s trip to Everton.
