Chandler Parsons names LA legend a better dunker than Lakers’ LeBron James

The NBA has a long list of historic dunkers over the many years of the league’s existence. While LeBron James never participated in a Dunk Contest throughout his career, it’s still hard to name many players better at dunking than the Los Angeles Lakers star. However, ex-forward and current analyst Chandler Parsons picked an L.A. sports legend as his choice over James.

Parsons partook in a viral social media trend where he was not allowed to talk until someone he thought was a better dunker than LeBron James was named. He stayed silent through several key names, including Russell Westbrook, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Ja Morant. The player Parsons feels is a better dunker than the four-time MVP is former Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin.

“Yeah,” said Parsons when Griffin was named. “Just cause he does it in games and in the Dunk Contest, the whole Kia thing.”

There was a point in time when Griffin was one of the most electric dunkers in the NBA. Especially during his time in Los Angeles, playing alongside Chris Paul when the Clippers were known as “Lob City.” He has some of the most thrilling dunk highlights ever, in game an in the Dunk Contest.

That’s not taking anything away from LeBron James, either, as he is one of the freakiest athletes to ever roam this earth. But James is a better all-around player than Griffin, and the argument can certainly be made that the six-time All-Star beats out James in this one specific category.
