Carl Froch claims John Fury has ‘gone missing’ in latest fight update amid broadcaster interest

Carl Froch has accused John Fury of going quiet after making a new offer for the pair to fight.

The senior member of the Fury family launched a verbal assault on Froch, which began at his son Tyson Fury’s press conference in April.

Fury Sr has rejected offers and now Froch even suggests he rejected broadcaster interest

He angrily tried to confront Froch for his comments, and ever since the pair have been back and forth over a clash.

Fury Sr suggested he rejected a £1 million offer from a promoter, insisting he would need more financial incentive.

But at his other son Tommy Fury’s victory over Eddie Hall last month, ‘Big John’ again angrily called out the former world champion and even punched a wall.

‘The Cobra’ insists that his potential veteran rival isn’t even entertaining negotiations.

And he even accused Fury Sr of rebuffing interest from broadcaster DAZN and Misfits Boxing.

Froch said on his YouTube channel: “He’s gone quiet again. He doesn’t stop going on and on and on, he doesn’t shut up.

Then it gets put on to him, DAZN have been on to him, Misfits have been on to him, Kalle Sauerland, the promoter, has been on to him.

He’s gone into hiding, he’s vanished. Does anyone know where John Fury is? I’ll need to check in the cupboard.

“So just know when you listen to him next time, or you watch him punching a wall, this is confirmation Big John Fury is not a fighting man.

“He’s absolutely full of gobs***. Don’t forget, I’m not the one who wants this fight, I accepted the challenge.

“He’s called it on with me and I’ve said lets do it, and now he’s said he’s got somewhere else to be. It’s pathetic and that’s the end of Big John Fury, and he’s not a fighting man.”

For Froch, he has always suggested he’d be open to a comeback after his legendary career.

But he initially showed reluctance to face Fury given he is now 61-years-old.

The bout is only likely to land on Misfits Boxing, given it is almost impossible that a full professional would be sanctioned.

And is yet to be seen if the broadcasters and potential organisers involved can increase their offer.
