Bucks’ Tyler Herro soaks it all in during first visit to facility since trade
The Milwaukee Bucks moved on from Giannis Antetokounmpo as they now have Tyler Herro as one of their top players ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season.
Antetokounmpo is now on Miami’s roster after the Bucks traded him and Bobby Portis to the Heat. In exchange, they got Herro Nate Ament, Kasparas Jakucionis, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware, a 2030 1st round draft pick, a 2031 1st round draft pick, a 2033 1st round draft pick and a 2033 2nd round draft pick.
Herro is preparing for the eighth year of his NBA career, his first with the Bucks. He spent the last seven seasons with the Heat, making his way up the ranks before becoming one of their best scorers.
Herro embraces a new chapter of his career while adapting to life in Milwaukee. At least it’s safe to say he’ll enjoy practicing in the team’s practice facility as his first reaction showed.
“This is fire. It feels awesome,” Herro said.

What lies ahead for Tyler Herro, Bucks
Tyler Herro will have less expectations on him after moving on from the Heat. Now a key member of the Bucks, he looks forward to seeing his true offensive peak.
Herro suffered multiple injuries as he missed 49 games throughout the 2025-26 campaign. In the 33 games he took part in, he averaged 20.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists per contest.
Milwaukee finished with a 32-50 record last season, settling for 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. They were above the Chicago Bulls and the Brooklyn Nets while being under the Heat and the Charlotte Hornets.
Herro and the players Milwaukee landed in its trade with Miami are the major additions to the roster going into next season. While it will be new era for the franchise, it would be best to keep eyes on how the team does rather than writing than them off as a lottery squad.
