Brighton vs Crystal Palace predictions

This is a game that can be quite difficult to predict, Brighton have only won two of their last 13 Premier League clashes with Palace.

But have only lost four, with as many as seven draws – but those two wins for the Seagulls have come at home.

Meanwhile Palace come into this having won two of their last three league games, which was as many as they’d won in their prior 12 meetings.

In those 12 there were six draws too so there’s clearly a trend of draws which still could be the best value in the betting.

Another draw?

Brighton have been struggling holding onto their leads this season, winning just once in their last four league matches when taking the lead, drawing one and losing two.

That said Palace are winless in their last nine league games coming into this weekend losing as many as six in a terrible run that has seen the pressure ramp up on Oliver Glasner who is set to leave at the end of the season anyway.

Despite the amount of draws in previous fixtures there has only been two in the last five meetings in the league.

A 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture earlier this season, two wins from Palace in the two games prior to that after Brighton won 4-1 before then.

The previous game to that was the 1-1 draw also at Selhurst Park.

In the last two meetings at the Amex the aggregate would equate to 5-4, with plenty of goals going against the lower scores in the three Palace home games.

Gamechangers?

Jean-Philippe Mateta scored the only goal here in February 2024 with four different scorers for the Seagulls.

The Frenchman has also scored ten, more goals in all comps for Crystal Palace, this season.

Just ahead of Ismaila Sarr who has scored nine this season and who also scored a brace here in December 2024 when Palace won 3-1.

The latest 0-0 draw seemed to be an anomaly given the other four of the last five matches have ended in over 1.5 goals including 90% of them ending in both teams scoring.
