Brewers pitcher suspended for WWE-style DX crotch-chop celebration

The last time Abner Uribe took the mound came in the Milwaukee Brewers’ 6-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on May 26. He turned heads after he used a WWE-style DX crotch-chop celebration after recording his second strikeout and ending the top of the eighth inning.

However, it appears MLB is not too happy with that celebration, as the league announced Uribe is being suspended for one game for his on-field antics against the Cardinals, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. It’s said that the 25-year-old reliever is attempting to appeal the suspension.

“Milwaukee Brewers reliever Abner Uribe was suspended for one game by Major League Baseball for crotch-chopping toward the St. Louis Cardinals dugout following a strikeout earlier this week,” reported Passan. “Uribe is appealing the suspension.”
