The 2026 World Cup is now over with Spain beating Argentina in the final on Sunday night.

And while France may be licking their wounds from their own heartbreaking semi-final exit, attention already turns to some of their talented attackers and where they might be playing their football next season.

One would be PSG forward Bradley Barcola who started the semi-final defeat to Spain and scored three times for France in the World Cup this summer.

The Gunners look to be standout favourites to sign Barcola – especially with their focus on signings in the attacking third of the pitch.

But having been hijacked by Chelsea for Rogers – could it be a case of de ja vu, but this time with Liverpool?

Andoni Iraola will want make his mark in the transfer market with his new club, with attacking signings of their own high on their shopping list.

They’ve already ousted Newcastle to sign Osasuna’s World Cup winner Victor Munoz. But with Mohamed Salah’s exit confirmed at the end of May, Liverpool may opt to for another signing in the attacking positions.

European heavyweights Bayern Munich (6/1), Real Madrid and Barcelona both (8/1) are chalked up next. They’ll be huge admiration for a player of Barcola’s talent, but it might be a move they make once a player goes out the door first.

Man Utd are starting their rebuild under Michael Carrick. But having shelled out millions on their front line in 2025, they’re actively in the market to strengthen their midfield.

Could Chelsea gazump their London rivals and steal Barcola from under their noses? They’re at 14/1.
