Bears star Caleb Williams’ slo-mo dime to Rome Odunze has fans ready for Super Bowl run

If the Chicago Bears are going to go on an even deeper playoff run, quarterback Caleb Williams and wide receiver Rome Odunze need to be connecting early and often. During OTAs, the pair proved they’re ready to create some fireworks on the gridiron.

Williams hit Odunze with a pass that traveled over 60 yards through the air, via backup quarterback Case Keenum. When fans saw the play, they began to imagine just how far the Bears can go, via the team’s X, formerly Twitter account.

“I believe the Bears will make it to the super bowl this season. Book it,” TrentSkyWalker wrote.

“SUPER BEARS SUPER BOWL! The Bears are going to crush it,” Anthony Lochirco added.

During the 2025 season, Odunze caught 44 passe for 661 yards and four touchdowns. While his touchdown number increased, both his receptions and yardage decreased. To his credit, Odunze only played in 12 games due to injury. Still, the Bears are expecting him to fully claim his title as WR1 in 2026.

Especially after the team traded away DJ Moore. Chicago will work out of 12 and 13 personnel more often than not. Still, they are counting on Odunze and fellow playmaking receiver Luther Burden to lead their passing attack.

They’ll both be catching passes from Williams, who will have all eyes on him in 2026. His first year under Ben Johnson showed glimpses of exactly why he went No. 1 overall. Now, he must prove he can be consistent and continue moving Chicago’s offense forward.

It may just be OTAs, but Williams’ pass shows he isn’t done raising eyebrows across the league. More often than not, those throws will be headed Odunze’s way once the regular season comes.
