Australia's Chappell Era: From Ashes Fightback to Dominance
Between 1972 and 1976, Australia transformed from Ashes challengers into the dominant Test side of the era. Under Ian Chappell, then Greg Chappell, they drew in England, beat Pakistan and West Indies, regained and retained the Ashes, and crushed West Indies 5-1. Fast bowling, deep batting and strong leadership defined the Chappell era.
