Astros’ Hunter Brown shut down from throwing for at least ‘a few weeks’ amid shoulder injury

Houston Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown is dealing with a Grade 2 shoulder strain, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

“Hunter Brown has a Grade 2 shoulder strain, according to the Astros, who say he will ‘refrain from throwing for a few weeks,’ Rome wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Brown was recently placed on the injured list with a shoulder injury. Shoulder injuries are obviously far from ideal for pitchers. Brown was initially not too concerned about the situation despite being placed on the IL, but this latest update means he will miss at least a few weeks.
