Can the Bees avoid three straight losses?

Villa need a quick turnaround after their midweek clash in the Europa League on Thursday night against RB Salzburg.

And they might have the momentum with them after coming back from 2-0 down against Salzburg to win 3-2 with goals all coming in the last 26 minutes for Villa from Morgan Rogers, Tyrone Mings and Jamaldeen Jimoh.

They are the big favourites against the Bees on Sunday but that could be something Brentford can capitalise on.

But the Bees are into 8th in the table after two straight 2-0 losses – to Chelsea and Nottingham Forest.

It’s a rare goal drought for Igor Thiago who’s bagged 16 goals in 23 appearances.

But can he score despite facing Aston Villa who are on a great run?

Since losing 4-1 to Arsenal, Villa have lost just once from six games in all competitions including victories over Fenerbahce, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.

Another quick two games for them on Thursday night and then Sunday rounds off an incredibly busy schedule where they played eight games in the space of a month.

This wouldn’t be surprising if it ended a draw given the circumstances.

Especially as Brentford can make things tough for the opposition and will be looking for an improvement from their last two games.
