The Golden State Valkyries edged closer to securing a WNBA championship on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, with a stellar performance against the Atlanta Dream. The Valkyries were able to register a 64-55 win over the Dream in WNBA Finals Game 5.

Kiah Stokes and Veronica Burton both contributed 13 points, while Tiffany Hayes added 12 for the home team. However, Golden State excelled at the opposite end of the court, limiting the Dream to just 29 percent shooting and causing 15 turnovers on their way to a 64-55 win. The Valkyries now have a chance to secure their first title on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, when they play Atlanta Dream in State Farm Arena.

However, many believe Atlanta will also have to live up to their rivals' star power by bringing in a popular celebrity at their game, after Zendaya showed up at Game 5. Zendaya was seen wearing a Valkyries T-shirt over her top and cheering from the crowd. The Euphoria star also linked up with the Valkyries after their winning performance. She posed for pictures with the team that is now very close to securing their first title. Later, the pictures were uploaded to social media.
