The Oklahoma City Thunder remain among the favorites to win the 2026-27 NBA championship despite potentially losing Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace for the remainder of the season.
According to BetOnline's latest championship odds, Oklahoma City sits at +360, trailing the San Antonio Spurs (+320) while remaining ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers (+850).
The updated odds follow Monday's devastating injury news involving two of Oklahoma City's starters.
ESPN's Shams Charania reported Monday on X, formerly known as Twitter:
“BREAKING: Oklahoma City's Jalen Williams has a dislocated left ankle and fractured fibula; Cason Wallace has a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Both will undergo surgery and be sidelined for several months — most, if not the entire season.”
Both players sustained their injuries during Sunday's 108-101 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Williams suffered his injury while driving toward the basket with 1:14 remaining in the fourth quarter. Medical personnel attended to the 25-year-old before he was transported off the court on a stretcher.
Wallace sustained his shoulder injury earlier in the contest while attempting to navigate a screen. He exited during the first quarter and did not return.
Thunder face difficult championship challenge without Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace
Through three games, Williams averaged 13.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 38.5% from the field.
Wallace, meanwhile, averaged 6.3 points and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 30% from 3-point range.

Their extended absences present another challenge for a Thunder team attempting to reclaim the championship after winning the title in 2025 and falling to San Antonio in last season's Western Conference Finals.
Despite the setbacks, Oklahoma City improved to 4-0 with Monday's 125-114 victory over the Phoenix Suns.
The Thunder will now begin a three-game road trip Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks (2-2) at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, looking to maintain their undefeated start without two key contributors.
