The Michigan football team is trying to bounce back after a loss to Indiana. Michigan head coach Kyle Whittingham is not certain who his starting quarterback will be though moving forward, per an On3 report.

“That’s to be determined,” Whittingham said about who will start for his team's next game. “We don’t want to play this game every week, who’s going to start. But it’s a decision that we’ll make in the next couple days, keep it to ourselves until somebody lets the cat out of the bag, and go from there.”

Michigan started the season with Bryce Underwood as the starting quarterback. Underwood appeared insecure with leading Whittingham's offense, which was apparent from the start of the campaign. Michigan started the year with a narrow victory over Western Michigan, following a controversial ending.

The Michigan head coach eventually replaced Underwood with Tommy Carr, who started the Indiana game. Carr had some bright moments against Indiana, but it wasn't enough to win the contest. The Hoosiers defeated Michigan in overtime, 13-6.

“Tommy did some good things,” Whittingham said. “Some things we have to improve on, obviously. We could say that about everyone in the program.”

Whittingham is in his first season as head coach of the Wolverines. He joined Michigan after spending many years at Utah, where he turned the Utes into a national power. The head coach is now hoping to keep the culture of success going in Ann Arbor.
