During the promotional tour for the Street Fighter movie, WWE star Cody Rhodes' entrance song was sung by the fans at an event in Mexico City.

Naturally, the crowd sang “Kingdom” to him, even yelling out the “woah” chant. The “American Nightmare” did his signature entrance pose during this moment.

What makes the moment even cooler is that the song wasn't playing over the speakers. The crowd sang it all by themselves, and Rhodes was eating it up.

Rhodes famously uses Downstait's song “Kingdom” as his entrance music. The group wrote it for him after he left WWE in 2016, and he used it on the independent circuit and in AEW. Downstait has even performed it live for him.

After his release, Rhodes went onto the independent circuit and rebuilt himself. He was one of the founders of WWE's biggest competitor, AEW. He was also the executive vice president of the promotion until he left in 2022.

When the “American Nightmare” returned to WWE in 2022, “Kingdom” came with him. The song was licensed to WWE as part of Rhodes' agreement to come back.

Since coming back to WWE, Rhodes has become a bigger star than ever. He has won two Royal Rumbles and three Undisputed WWE Championships. He ended Roman Reigns' historic 1,316-day run as champion at WrestleMania 40, finishing his story.

Now, he is expanding his acting career. In 2025, he had his first role in a major Hollywood production, appearing in the Naked Gun reboot with Liam Neeson. Earlier in his career, he had a recurring role in the Stephen Amell-led Arrow series for The CW.

He plays Guile in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. His former WWE rival, Reigns, is also in the movie, playing the big bad, Akuma.
