A few hours after AEW All Out 2026, PAC was found dead in his car. The former AEW Trios Champion passed away on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, a few hours after wrestling Andrade El Idolo at AEW All Out.
As of now, no foul play is suspected in his passing. Shortly after PAC's death at 40, the entire wrestling world joined in mourning the wrestler's untimely death. Both active WWE and AEW stars came together to pay their tribute. They were recently joined by WWE legend The Rock, who shared an emotional message to PAC's family after his sudden death.
“I was just so sorry to hear this news. As global as professional wrestling is, as global as WWE is, as much as AEW is growing into this phenomenal wrestling company, and wherever you’re wrestling at around the world, Asia, Latin America, Europe, it doesn’t matter,” Johnson continued. “As global as professional wrestling is, we’re still a very tight-knit unit and a tight-knit group because we all share the same DNA.
“And that is our love and our passion for the squared circle and to perform for audiences around the world. And we’re a little crazy, and that’s OK. But when we lose one of our own, it hurts. And when they’re young and so insanely talented, it really, it really f***ing hurts, especially when that life is robbed, and you don’t get that opportunity to live a full life,” he added.
Johnson also addressed AEW President Tony Khan, fellow wrestler QT Marshall, and the AEW locker room, stating he was sorry for their loss. “For the Satterley family, I wish you love and light as you endure this pain and stay strong,” he further shared.
A Newcastle, UK native and a fan of the Newcastle United soccer club, PAC was also given a heartfelt tribute by his favorite soccer club following his death.
