After going public with their relationship last year, Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd have broken up, but it happened even before they became teammates on the Dallas Wings.
On Fudd's podcast, Fudd Around and Find Out, they announced that they have broken up. However, they called it off “over a year” ago, as Bueckers explained, “We were not together before she got drafted. So all of those narratives can go to bed.”
“We’re not together anymore… She was not drafted because she was my girlfriend.”

Bueckers wanted to debunk any rumors that Fudd was drafted because of their relationship, emphasizing, “She was not drafted because she was my girlfriend. She was drafted because she deserved it.”
The Wings drafted Fudd with the first overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft out of UConn. Fudd and Bueckers went public with relationship in 2025. They had competed against each other for the starting point guard spot on the U16 USA Basketball national team.
