Given that Jalen Johnson is questionable on the Hawks’ injury report, a firm update on his playing status likely won’t come until closer to game time. Johnson sustained the injury back on Oct. 31 during the team’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, and has missed consecutive games since then.
He suffered the injury in the third quarter of that games and did not return, finishing the night with 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and one blocked shot in 28 minutes.
The No. 2o overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Johnson blossomed into a first time All-Star last season, and was continuing his upward trajectory this year. He was averaging 18.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.0 steals with splits o 42.1 percent shooting from the field, 25.8 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 83.3 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
So when it comes to the question of is Jalen Johnson playing tonight, the answer is just wait and see.
