The Dallas Mavericks host the Utah Jazz on Friday, Nov. 6, and Kyrie Irving popped on the team’s injury report and was listed as probable. Irving has been dealing with an illness, but it is not expected to keep him out for the Jazz game. Here is everything we know regarding Kyrie Irving’s illness and his playing status against the Jazz.

Kyrie Irving’s injury status vs. Jazz

Given that Kyrie Irving is listed as probable on the Mavericks’ injury report, the assumption is that he will suit up and play against the Jazz. Irving has missed two games so far this season, but those were due to his injury management. He has returned to the Mavericks’ lineup after being sidelined for all of the 2025-26 season due to an ACL injury.

Irving has appeared in six games so far this season at a little over 29 minutes per game. He’s averaging 22.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.2 steals with splits of 47.5 percent shooting from the field, 38.2 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 90.5 percent shooting from the free-throw line.

The nine-time All-Star is coming off strong performance against the San Antonio Spurs, albeit a loss. He finished with 29 points, seven rebounds, five assists and one steal in a little over 36 minutes. He shot 9-of-27 from the field, 5-of-13 from the 3-point line and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line.

So when it comes to the question of whether Kyrie Irving is playing or not tonight, the answer is most likely yes.
