Joe Fagnano did not have a very ideal first NFL start. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback, stepping in after the team's top two signal-callers went down with injuries, was seemingly thrown to the wolves on Thursday as he struggled mightily in a 33-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars at M&T Bank Stadium.

But at least Fagnano was aware enough of his performance to not make any excuses.

“I’m not here to make excuses. We just didn’t execute. I have to play better,” the 25-year-old Fagnano said after the game, via Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.
