In the main event of WWE x AAA Worlds Collide 2026, CM Punk teamed up with Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano to take on Omos, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh. Taking place at Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL, the event took place on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026 but aired on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026.

In a match lasting almost twenty minutes, the team of Punk, Mysterio, and Americano were able to come out on top and earn the victory. However, it was Punk's look for the event that got the fans excited.

Teaming up with two luchadores, Punk embraced his inner lucha-libre culture and sported his iconic SES (Straight Edge Society) black mask and entered the ring while wearing a poncho. At the show, Punk rolled back years and took fans on a trip down memory lane when he entered to his SES titantron and his old theme song, “This Fire Burns” by Killswitch Engage.

Fans loved the music and started appreciating WWE's move to bring it back. “He needs to go back to this entrance music. So good,” wrote one fan. Another person commented, “Better than Cult of personality.” “I miss this song so much man….change his theme back to this please,” commented another person.

While the exact viewership numbers for both shows are not known yet, fans were visibly upset over WWE's decision to air Worlds Collide. AEW's PAC tribute episode was well-loved across the globe and heavily appreciated.
