Earlier this year, former WWE Champion Sheamus parted ways with WWE after he opted not to extend his contract. Sheamus' contract officially expired on Oct. 1, 2026, and he was soon moved to WWE's alumni section.

Now going by S.Farrelly on his social media, “The Celtic Warrior” is now seemingly done with WWE. A new report has emerged regarding Sheamus' future and his potential jump to AEW.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select recently noted that there is expected to be interest from Tony Khan's AEW. The report further mentioned that although no talks have taken place between Sheamus and AEW, AEW is likely to show some interest in signing him full-time. A source close to WrestleVotes Radio revealed that a handful of AEW talents are in favour of Sheamus becoming All Elite. However, as of now, no potential timeline for him possibly joining AEW has been discussed.

Sheamus is a former multi-time champion in WWE. He has won almost every title in the promotion except for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. A WWE veteran and part of the promotion for so many years, his exit came as a shock to many.

However, in the last few months, several WWE wrestlers have parted ways with the promotion and joined AEW. Veterans Kofi and Austin Creed, now known as The New Level, made their AEW debut at All In 2026. Similar to them, The Motor City Machine Guns also made their AEW debut earlier this year. While not yet officially making his debut, Ilja Dragunov is also rumored to appear on TV soon.
