The Denver Broncos are aiming for their third straight win as they take on the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium on Sunday. The Broncos are also looking to put a blemish on the 49ers' immaculate record.

While Denver took care of business against the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Los Angeles Rams, the offense has left much to be desired. The Broncos are second-to-last in rushing yards in the NFL, averaging just 81.0, trailing only the Green Bay Packers' 48.7.

Davis Webb's first year as offensive coordinator has been rocky, but he expressed confidence that they can improve their running game.

“I think we need to run with a little more conviction,” said Webb, as quoted by DNVR Broncos' Zac Stevens.

Stevens added that Webb expects the conviction to get better and that they are “close to breaking out” in the running game.

The Broncos only had 78 rushing yards against the Rams, with most of them coming from JK Dobbins, who had 49 rushing yards on 19 carries.

Denver will also have to stop the running game of the 49ers, who are averaging 5.1 rushing yards per carry, which is fourth-best in the NFL.

Webb was immediately put in the hot seat after the Broncos dropped their season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. Coach Sean Payton defended Webb and shouldered the blame instead.

“There was dirt on a ton of people's hands, starting with me. So we've got to learn from that. It's a quick turnaround. You can't get to the next game quick enough, and I'm sure it's the same way for (Webb),” said Payton.

Payton pushed for Webb's promotion to offensive coordinator to replace Joe Lombardi.
