The Golden State Warriors appear close to settling on their final roster around Stephen Curry as training camp continues ahead of the 2026-27 season.
ClutchPoints NBA insider Brett Siegel reported Wednesday that Charles Bassey, Georges Niang and Brandon Williams are all positioned to make Golden State's roster entering the season. Bassey and Niang signed partially guaranteed contracts with the Warriors, while Williams is on a non-guaranteed deal.
According to Siegel, Golden State is pleased with the depth it has assembled around Curry and its veteran core.
“The Warriors really like their roster heading into the new season, especially with the newfound depth on the backend,” Siegel reported. “Unless Bassey, Niang, or Williams get injured in the preseason, it's likely that all three make the team and contribute early in the year as Steve Kerr sorts through his rotation.”
The trio would give Kerr additional options as he determines his rotation throughout training camp and the preseason. Bassey adds another frontcourt presence, while Niang provides shooting and veteran experience. Williams gives Golden State another option in the backcourt behind Curry.
Warriors could still make Dalen Terry roster move before 2026-27 season

However, the Warriors could still make one change before finalizing the roster. Siegel reported that Dalen Terry remains a potential alternative to Williams if Golden State decides to go in a different direction.
“It is possible that Dalen Terry could be swapped in for Williams if the Warriors prefer to do so, but Terry is expected to join the Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA G League,” Siegel reported.
Golden State's roster construction remains particularly important as the franchise attempts to rebound from a disappointing 2025-26 campaign. The Warriors finished 37-45 and saw their season end in the Play-In Tournament.
With Curry still serving as the centerpiece of the organization, the Warriors have spent the offseason attempting to provide Kerr with a deeper and more flexible roster. Barring injuries or a change in plans during the preseason, Bassey, Niang and Williams now appear to have the inside track on Golden State's remaining roster spots as the team prepares for the regular season.
