UFC Middleweight Champion Sean Strickland recently found himself a victim of a vehicle accident. He shared via social media that he was injured and possibly concussed. Strickland was hanging out with friends and fellow fighter Anthony Hernandez when his vehicle flipped six times, causing his head to hit the ground without a helmet.

“Guys, I'm in a real bad place. Oh, f**k,” Strickland said on his Instagram. “I let my buddy [Chris Cornell] drive, he rolled, we were going like 60mph, we rolled like six times.” Strickland then proceeded to show the gash on the side of his head and his shoulder that he suffered after hitting his head on the ground and rolling around six times.

“I didn’t have a helmet on. I'm an idiot. That was just from rolling and smacking the dirt. I'm just gonna lay here and take a nap for a little bit. Sleep it off,” he further added before concluding the video. Strickland also shared that in the accident's aftermath, his shoulder was “a little sore,” and a concussion was setting in.

“I hit the ground like six times, [but] I'm good, bro, I'm sparring tomorrow. I'm a little concussed. I was not driving. I was not in control of the vehicle. When we rolled, it wasn’t my fault,” Strickland shared via one of his Instagram stories.

He later uploaded a photo of Chris Cornell in the hospital, where it appeared his friend had broken his collarbone. Strickland also updated his fans that despite the unfortunate accident, it was the most fun he had in a while.

Strickland is the current Middleweight Champion and last faced and defeated Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 328.
