No. 23 Oregon expects starting wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan to return Saturday against No. 12 Ohio State after a foot injury sidelined him for six games, providing help for an offense missing its starting quarterback and leading rusher.
McClellan broke his foot during pregame warmups before the Ducks' Week 3 clash vs. Portland State. Oregon upgraded him from out to probable on Wednesday’s availability report ahead of the trip to Columbus.
CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz shared Friday on X, formerly Twitter, that sources expected McClellan to play against the Buckeyes.

McClellan caught seven passes for 170 yards and a touchdown through Oregon’s first two games, with most of that production coming in the opener. He had six receptions for 150 yards and the score in the Ducks’ victory over Boise State before the injury interrupted his season.
His early production followed a season in which he ranked second among Oregon wide receivers with 557 receiving yards. This experience gives the Ducks an established receiving option as they navigate significant losses elsewhere on offense.
Leading rusher Jordon Davison will miss Saturday’s game, while quarterback Dante Moore is not expected to return this season. Those absences leave Oregon short-handed for a ranked road matchup with College Football Playoff implications.
The Ducks enter Ohio Stadium at 5-3 overall and 3-2 in Big Ten play. Ohio State holds a 6-2 record and a 4-1 conference mark, placing the Buckeyes ahead of Oregon in the league standings entering Saturday.

The Buckeyes lead the all-time series 10-2 and won the programs’ most recent meeting, defeating the Ducks 41-21 in the 2025 Rose Bowl.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT, with CBS televising the matchup from Ohio Stadium.
