It is quite easy to blame the Seattle Seahawks' uneven first half on an inefficient run game, but the defending Super Bowl champions did not exactly post eye-popping numbers on the ground during the 2025 regular season. They averaged 4.1 yards per carry and ranked 11th in the league with 123.3 rushing yards per week. Though, even when the backfield was lacking firepower, it still posed a threat to defenses. The 2026 Seahawks are hoping to get that back on Monday.
Emanuel Wilson has done his best to shoulder the burden following Kenneth Walker III's free-agency departure and multiple injuries to the position group, eclipsing 80 rushing yards on three separate occasions. He can use some help, though. An incoming future Hall of Fame offensive lineman like Quenton Nelson should provide a huge boost, but a versatile RB room is an important element of many successful teams. And Seattle (4-3) is ready to shake things up a bit.
Zach Charbonnet is expected to make his season debut versus the Chicago Bears, and although he is still on injured reserve at time of print, rookie Jadarian Price is in line to join him. The former is returning from a torn ACL he suffered in the playoffs back in January, and the latter logged full practice participation on Friday after missing the last month of action with a chest injury.
Article Continues BelowThe Bears are inserting All-Pro defensive tackle and big midseason acquisition Jeffery Simmons into their front seven, so the Seahawks may have a better chance of keeping Chicago on its toes with their top-three ball-carriers. Fans have seen what quarterback Sam Darnold can accomplish when Seattle establishes its ground attack.
Even without Kyle Monangai, who is still battling turf toe and a thumb injury, the Bears boast a dangerous D'Andre Swift-led rushing unit. The Seahawks must close the gap in that crucial area on Monday night. Their chances of doing so have seemingly improved. Opening kickoff will commence at 8:15 p.m. ET.
