Scottie Scheffler has spent most of 2026 reminding the golf world that nobody is playing the sport better than him. Now he gets an opportunity to carry that dominance into the Presidents Cup.

Scheffler headlines a loaded Team USA roster that will begin its pursuit of another Presidents Cup victory Thursday at Medinah Country Club. The Americans have won the event 10 consecutive times and haven't lost since 1998, giving captain Brandt Snedeker another considerable collection of talent as he tries to extend that streak.

Nobody stands out more than Scheffler. The world No. 1 was one of Team USA's six automatic qualifiers alongside Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, Sam Burns, Russell Henley and Collin Morikawa. Snedeker then added Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Chris Gotterup, Jackson Koivun, and Jacob Bridgeman with his six captain's selections.

On DraftKings, Scheffler is +340 to be the top point scorer for the tournament, and is +255 to be the Team USA top scorer. Team USA is -420 to defeat the International squad outright (in case of a draw) and -600 to lift the trophy. For the foursomes odds, Team USA is -175, as that is a much tighter fight than solo scores.

Scheffler's individual Presidents Cup history hasn't been nearly as dominant as his PGA Tour résumé. He owns a 3-5-1 career record across two appearances, including an 0-2 mark in singles competition. That gives him something else to accomplish at Medinah.

Scheffler enters the week as the unquestioned centerpiece of the American roster, and Team USA's depth surrounding him makes another dominant showing entirely possible. The International Team will counter with stars including Hideki Matsuyama, Si Woo Kim, Tom Kim and Adam Scott, but overcoming the Americans' combination of depth and home-course advantage will be a massive challenge.

If Scheffler finally brings his individual dominance to the Presidents Cup, Team USA could be extremely difficult to stop.
