It doesn't appear Milwaukee Bucks star Tyler Herro was expecting to field questions about the upcoming MCU movie Avengers: Doomsday during Media Day.
He was asked about the upcoming film by a charismatic reporter at Media Day. The reporter wanted to know if he thought “the Avengers were cooked” going against Doctor Doom (played by Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr.), or if they would prevail.
Initially, he was confused by the question. The reporter had to present the options once again, but once he understood the question, Herro predicted, “They're gonna win.”

This question came after Herro previously did a promotional campaign with Marvel. However, as this viral Media Day moment would suggest, he doesn't appear to be locked into the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie.
Avengers: Doomsday is the fifth movie in the MCU series. It will come out on Dec. 18, 2026. A sequel, Secret Wars, comes out almost a full year later on Dec. 17, 2027.
Article Continues BelowDoomsday marks the return of Downey to the MCU. He previously led the first era of the MCU as Tony Stark/Iron Man, concluding his arc in Avengers: Endgame. Now, he plays the villain, Doctor Doom.
Herro is entering his first season with the Bucks. He was traded to the team during the offseason as part of the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade.
Previously, Herro spent the last seven years with the Miami Heat, who drafted him with the 13th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Kentucky.
He is just two seasons removed from his first (and only) All-Star year. Herro made it during the 2024-25 season, during which he averaged a career-high 23.9 points per game. He played in 77 games and started them all.
The following year was cut short by injuries. Herro hurt his ankle and needed surgery. He played in just 33 games during the 2025-26 season and started 28.
