Aaron Donald fired up the SoFi Stadium crowd in his Los Angeles Rams return. But teammate Davante Adams created the most fireworks on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants. Including reaching Jerry Rice elite numbers before halftime.

Adams set the tone by catching this dime from quarterback Matthew Stafford for the Rams' first touchdown.

But the perennial Pro Bowler continued to expose the Giants' secondary, this time on this 64-yard reception.

Adams, though, hit the top seven of this list which features the legendary Rice.

Meanwhile, Rams insider for ESPN Sarah Barshop dropped this stunning nugget attached to Adams following his long touchdown catch.

“Davante Adams' first quarter touchdown was his first TD reception with the Rams on a pass NOT thrown into the end zone, according to ESPN Research. All 15 of Adams' receiving touchdowns last season were thrown into the end zone (14 regular season, one playoffs),” Barshop posted on the social media website X, formerly Twitter.

Head coach Sean McVay made sure to feed the star wide receiver early and often. Especially amid LA's leading wideout Puka Nacua sitting out of the game with a hip ailment. But Adams proved that this offense is just as deadly without the All-Pro Nacua.

Los Angeles has already looked nothing like the jet-lagged, struggling unit from the Melbourne, Australia opener against the rival San Francisco 49ers. SF contained the Rams to 155 yards through the air, clamping down on the big play element. Adams made sure to bring back that element right away before halftime.

Adams hit 118 receiving yards on four catches before the five minute mark of the second quarter. He capitalized on the fan energy for Donald's return.
