Pittsburgh football quarterback Mason Heintschel busted out an epic seven-touchdown outing nearly a month ago. He and coach Pat Narduzzi took on a James Franklin-led Virginia Tech team Friday. But the dual-threat needed to leave early amid a leg injury.
Heintschel went to the medical tent amid a right leg injury. He had gone 10-of-18 for 113 yards with one touchdown before leaving the game. Heintschel, though, settled for four carries for two yards on the ground.
