Iowa football is scheduled to take on Ohio State, who is favored by Nick Saban and the oddsmakers, during Week 5 action at Kinnick Stadium. The Hawkeyes earned a College GameDay appearance after their miracle win over Michigan which will bring a college hoops legend, Caitlin Clark, back to campus.
ESPN's GameDay show made the announcement ahead of the Big Ten matchup, sharing what her role will be before the game.
“It's only right to have a Hawkeye legend join College GameDay as guest picker when in Iowa City,” ESPN wrote, tagging Clark's X profile with yellow and black heart emojis.

Clark played in Iowa City as a member of the Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball team and has since gone on to become one of the WNBA's best players with the Indiana Fever. She is NCAA women's basketball's all-time leading scorer with 3,951 points and a fan favorite in her alma mater's town.
Iowa football will look to pull off its second straight upset victory against a nationally recognized Big Ten blue blood program, once week after their win over Michigan brought an incredible reaction out of Michigan State alumnus Draymond Green. Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz was complimentary of the Buckeyes' passing attack including Heisman contender Jeremiah Smith.
A win against the Buckeyes could give Iowa the inside track to a College Football Playoff spot, which would be their first under Ferentz and first in program history.
