Brock Purdy is exceeding expectations as one of the best performing quarterbacks to start the 2026 NFL season. Dan Orlovsky even fired a Tom Brady comparison towards the San Francisco 49ers star.

Purdy has been playing in the league since being the last pick of the 2022 draft. He shines as one of the best quarterbacks in the entire league, looking to get San Francisco back to the Super Bowl after last appearing in 2023.

Purdy is off to an incredible start three games into this season. He has performed remarkably to the point that Orlovsky launched a hot take on ESPN's First Take show on Friday.

“I don't think there's anybody in the league that could be doing what Purdy's doing in San Francisco right now…it is like watching Brady in New England,” Orlovsky said.

“The six quarterbacks that are playing the best in the NFL right now through three weeks are Brock Purdy, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Trevor Lawrence, and Kirk Cousins. Are there other quarterbacks that I'm taking over of Kirk Cousins? Of course, but when it comes to like the guys that are playing the best right now, that's the six.”
