Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper answered a costly defensive mistake with a game-tying home run in the eighth inning of Wednesday’s must-win Game 2 against the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park.

With the score tied 1-1 in the seventh, Drake Baldwin drove a ball to right field that Harper misjudged, allowing Sean Murphy to score from second and give the Braves the lead. Matt Olson’s sacrifice fly later made it 3-1. Jomboy Media shared the defensive miscue on X, formerly Twitter, as Philadelphia moved six outs from elimination.

The Phillies answered immediately in the eighth. Kyle Schwarber launched a 447-foot home run off Braves reliever Dylan Lee, cutting the deficit to one. Harper followed with a 418-foot blast to tie the game 3-3 and erase the damage from his previous inning in right field.
