The Houston Texans received mixed injury news Wednesday as star defensive end Will Anderson Jr. was limited with an ankle injury while wide receiver Nico Collins returned to practice in a limited capacity.

Houston released its first injury report ahead of Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle shared the full report via X, formerly known as Twitter.

Anderson's appearance on the injury report adds another concern for a Texans team still searching for its first victory of the season. The former No. 3 overall pick has developed into a cornerstone of Houston's defense and will be a player to monitor as the week progresses.

Collins' limited participation, meanwhile, represents a positive development for Houston's offense. The wide receiver was listed with a hamstring injury but returned to the practice field Wednesday.

The Texans also had several other notable players limited, including safety Calen Bullock with a quad injury, safety M.J. Stewart with a knee injury, linebacker Jake

Hansen with a calf injury, guard Ed Ingram with a groin injury and defensive linemen Jadeveon Clowney and Logan Hall with knee injuries.

Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair did not participate because of a groin injury, while safety British Brooks missed practice with a hamstring issue. Offensive tackle Trent

Brown also did not practice because of an illness and knee and wrist injuries.

Houston enters Week 4 with an 0-3 record after suffering a 19-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The Texans will look to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat when they host a Cowboys team that enters the matchup at 1-2.

Houston and Dallas will kick off Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on FOX, with the statuses of Anderson and Collins among the key developments to monitor throughout the remainder of the practice week.
