On Sunday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs climbed back into the win column with a comfortable home win over the New York Jets. The Chiefs got a major score toward the end of the first half when quarterback Patrick Mahomes went down with an apparent arm injury after taking a big hit that caused him to fumble the ball.

Thankfully, Mahomes was able to return to the game and looked good in doing so, and after the game, head coach Andy Reid spoke on his quarterback's condition.

“I'm sure he's going to be sore tomorrow. Julie worked on him on the sideline, keeping him loose. She did a nice job with it,” said Reid, per Charles Goldman of A to Z Sports on X, formerly Twitter.

Julie would refer to Julie Frymyer, one of the Chiefs' athletic trainers.

Mahomes didn't look to have anything bothering him in his arm upon his return to action, and the Chiefs ultimately took control of the game in the second half after things were closer than expected throughout the first frame.

Kansas City now sits at 6-2 on the season, with a slate of winnable games coming up over the next few weeks. Kansas City will hope that Mahomes' arm stays loose and not in too much pain over the coming few days when they resume practice.

In any case, the Chiefs are next slated to hit the field next Sunday afternoon for a road game vs the Atlanta Falcons. Kickoff for that game is set for 1:00 pm ET from Atlanta.
