Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said last week that it was too soon to talk about whether wide receiver Jayden Reed would play again this season, but that determination has now been made.
LaFleur announced at a Wednesday press conference that Reed will miss the rest of the season with the neck injury he suffered in Week 2 against the Jets. Reed, who had to be taken to a New Jersey hospital and stayed the night before returning to Green Bay, will have surgery.
Reed will be placed on injured reserve on Wednesday to open up a roster spot for the Packers.
Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, Skyy Moore, Bo Melton, and J. Michael Sturdivant are the remaining wideouts on the active roster.
