Before the 2026-27 season begins, Indiana Pacers star Andrew Nembhard hyped up fans with a video that appears to be inspired by the Pixar movie Up.
He posted the video on social media on Monday, Sep. 28, 2026. It begins with him playing video games with a little boy to the same music as the opening scene of Up.

After he knocks the kid to the ground, it shows an older woman having her flowers knocked out of her hand. The video then cuts to Nembhard waking up to see someone training for basketball in his yard. A highlight reel is then woven into the video, and it ends with him checking out his shoulder and smirking into the camera.
Up is one of the most famous Pixar movies. Its opening scene starts sweet before becoming heartbreaking. Anyone who has seen it knows exactly why. It was released in May 2009 and grossed over $735 million at the box office.
Article Continues BelowNembhard is heading into his fifth season with the Pacers. He was drafted in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft out of Gonzaga. During his collegiate career, he was named to the SEC All-Freshman First Team in 2019 and First-team All-WCC in 2022.
His role expanded in his fourth year in the league. The Pacers were without Tyrese Haliburton after he tore his Achilles in the 2025 NBA Finals, and Nembhard had to step up.
He averaged a career-high 16.9 points per game and also averaged a career-best 31.3 minutes per game. Additionally, he averaged 2.8 rebounds and 7.7 assists (by far the best average of his career) per contest.
The Pacers get Haliburton back in the lineup after making a full recovery from his Achilles injury. They are hoping to get back into the championship scene. They lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder in seven games in the 2025 NBA Finals after Haliburton's injury.
