Ryan Day knows that life will be different for Ohio State following Julan Sayin's arm injury in the Buckeyes' 19-14 win over the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday afternoon.
Day has been coaching the Buckeyes sine 2019, going through his eighth season with the program. He shines as one of the best coaches in the country, winning the national championship in 2024.
Day looks to lead Ohio State back to the mountaintop. However, his team's aspirations took a major hit after seeing Sayin go down with an arm injury. Sayin wore a cast as he watched his team from the sidelines, as the head coach updated on the quarterbacks' recovery timeline after the game.
“I don't have a ton of details, but he will probably be out for several weeks. We'll have to come up with a plan there. Certainly, we don't want to see him get hurt, and we need him. But at the same time, we'll come together and figure this out. And we got a good team. When Luke's in there, we just may need to do things just a little bit differently. But the bye week gives us a chance to regroup on that and kind of put our heads together,” Day said on the Fox broadcast.
