The New York Jets are once again going through a bad season. Things got even worse after the Jets lost recently to the previously winless Miami Dolphins. That enraged Jets fans, who have begun to point fingers angrily at New York's head coach Aaron Glenn.

A New York City radio host is making a bold suggestion as he discussed the Jets' woes on-air. WFAN's Tommy Lugauer is suggesting the Jets should bring back Rex Ryan to coach the team.

“Rex can bring stability to the franchise,” Lugauer said, per the station. “……We know what Rex brings to the table.”

The Jets are just 2-5 on the season under Glenn this year. Glenn is in his second season with New York. It didn't go well for his first campaign either. Glenn's first Jets team went just 3-14 on the campaign last season.

New York has been competitive this season, but the wins are in short supply. Jets fans are sick of losing; the team hasn't made the NFL Playoffs for close to two decades.

The last time New York was successful, Ryan was the head coach. Ryan was in charge from 2009-2014. He took New York to two AFC Championship game appearances.

After New York lost to the Dolphins 28-25 on October 25, Jets fans took to social media to call for Glenn's firing. Glenn is now an astonishing 0-8 in AFC East games. Even Jets super fan and sports commentator Mike Greenberg had a hard time justifying Glenn's job status.

“That’s a loss that feels like the end of everything. The worst in years. Absolute disgrace. To all Jets fans telling me to root for losses and draft picks, I’m not fighting back anymore. And it’s just a matter of when, not if, they fire the coach. They absolutely should,” Greenberg posted to X.

New York next plays the Las Vegas Raiders on November 1. Time will tell if Glenn is soon fired as the Jets head coach.
