HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!
Nico Collins is absolutely balling out against the Chargers on Sunday, and capped off his day with one of the most stunning touchdown receptions you will ever see. Even after watching this 10-15 times, I still can’t believe he managed to grab this.
There are so many elements to this that take it beyond a typical one-hander. Collins had the defensive back draped all over him, needing him to contort his body to make a contested catch around the opponent. He did this one handed, then had the awareness to get his feet down — which added another level of difficulty to this.
It’s the kind of catch you see players attempt through the season, but NOBODY ever comes close to actually pulling it off. It’s been that kind of day for the Texans, who are just walking all over the Chargers with reckless abandon. This touchdown took the score to 31-9, and Jim Harbaugh’s team is in absolute hell.
Most importantly for Houston: Their defense is showing up today. Mix this offense with that defense, and well — this could become one of the hottest teams in the league if they can just keep it up.
